Cat-Scans

CBCT Scan

For conditions that lie deep within the teeth, supporting bones, joints or dental implants, a CAT Scan or CT Scan may be necessary to determine the issue. Luckily, GGS holds an in-office CT Scanner, which allows us to diagnose and treat patients quickly and conveniently. The computer-aided technology produces 3D images that aid in determining the necessary treatment and outcome of such procedures.

A CAT Scan can be used for diagnosing any of the following problems or procedures:

  • Impacted teeth
  • TMJ disorder
  • Dental implants
  • Changes in bone density
  • Abscesses
  • Cysts
  • Tumors

Having this technology is extremely helpful in diagnosing patients and helping them understand the issue and treatment process. If you are suffering with symptoms that could be related to any of these issues, talk to your dentist, and a CAT Scan might be recommended for further analysis.
